    Privacy Policy (iOS app)

    Introduction

    This Privacy Policy describes how ReceiptsApps ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our ReceiptsApps iOS application ("App"). The App is a native iOS client (SwiftUI). It does not embed our full marketing website; opening our terms or privacy pages in Safari is optional via links. This policy applies to the App only and is separate from our website privacy policy, which may describe cookies, web analytics, or web payment processors that do not apply to the App in the same way.

    By using the App, you agree to this policy together with our App Terms of Use.

    Information we collect

    We collect and process the following categories of information in connection with the App:

    • Account and authentication: email address and password-based sign-in via Supabase Auth (passwords are handled by Supabase and stored hashed on the server; we do not store your plaintext password in the App). Email confirmation may be required when you create an account.
    • User ID: a stable account identifier associated with your profile and content in our systems.
    • Receipt and profile content: receipt templates, fields, drafts, and related business profile data you create or store in your account.
    • Purchase history and subscription status: entitlement and subscription metadata. On iOS, payments are processed by Apple (StoreKit). RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, purchase and entitlement information, and limited device or locale signals (such as country) to validate subscriptions; we do not send your email address to RevenueCat from the App for that purpose.
    • Diagnostics, crashes, and performance: crash reports and performance traces collected via Sentry to maintain reliability and security. Performance data may be sampled (for example, a fraction of transactions). We do not use Sentry Session Replay in the App. Sentry is configured not to send default personally identifying information from the App.
    • Photos and media (with your permission): when you use features that add a logo or save an exported receipt, the App accesses your photo library only as needed for those actions (for example, choosing an image or saving an export).
    • Bluetooth (with your permission): when you connect a supported thermal printer, the App uses Bluetooth locally on your device. We do not use Bluetooth to track you across apps or websites.

    We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, marketing analytics (such as Firebase Analytics or PostHog), or cross-app tracking in the App. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and we do not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt for the App.

    Third parties and their privacy policies

    We use the following categories of service providers. Each maintains its own privacy policy:

    Our backend and subprocessors may rely on cloud infrastructure operated by Supabase and its underlying providers (for example, AWS regions as configured for our project).

    How we use information

    We use the information above to provide, secure, and improve the App; authenticate users; sync your content where enabled; process and validate subscription entitlements; troubleshoot crashes and performance issues; operate optional device features you choose (such as photo export or Bluetooth printing); comply with law; and communicate with you about the service where appropriate.

    Current iOS subscription plans are Weekly ($4.99), Monthly ($9.99), and Yearly ($49.99), with final pricing confirmed by Apple at checkout for your storefront.

    Retention

    We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Receipt and profile content stored in your account is generally deleted when your account is deleted, subject to limited backups or legal holds where required by law.

    Account and data deletion

    In the App: You can delete your account and associated Supabase-backed data from Settings → Account → Delete Account. When you confirm deletion, we begin removing your account, receipts, drafts, and business profile data from our systems without undue delay, subject to technical or legal constraints.

    What may be retained after account deletion: aggregated or de-identified diagnostics where permitted by law; crash or performance telemetry in Sentry that does not identify you; RevenueCat's anonymous customer identifier and purchase records as needed for receipts and fraud prevention; and purchase history retained by Apple according to Apple's policies.

    By email: You may request account and personal data deletion by emailing privacy@receiptsapps.com from the email address associated with your account. Please use the subject line "Account deletion request" and include sufficient information for us to verify your identity.

    Children

    The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of applicable law (including COPPA where it applies). If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at privacy@receiptsapps.com and we will take appropriate steps.

    App Store Connect and tracking

    To align with App Store Connect privacy disclosures for this App, categories of data that may be linked to you for core functionality can include: contact information (email address), identifiers (user ID), purchase history (including subscription status), user content (such as receipt data you store), and diagnostics used for app functionality (such as crash and performance data as described above). We do not use the App to track you across third-party apps and websites for advertising or data brokerage purposes.

    Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

    Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@receiptsapps.com. We will respond in line with applicable law.

    International transfers

    We and our subprocessors may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

    Changes to this policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
